Black Friday patrols on North End Road

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Hope you all had a pleasant weekend. Last week on Friday 28th November 2025 as part of our Black Friday patrols. I and my fellow SNT colleagues were on a patrol initiative visiting and engaging with staff members at stores and businesses on North End Road. The purpose of this patrol initiative was to raise awareness to shop owners and store staff, regarding shoplifters actively roaming around and trying to steal or attempt to shoplift. Essentially, while on our patrols I was tasked to visit stores and provide that reassurance while giving the store staff at various shops some crime prevention advice on if and not when they do encounter individuals aiming to steal from their stores on what steps to take next. Advised shop staff to increase their vigilance and to report such offences to the police. It was an absolute pleasure using this opportunity to engage with business owners and store staff on this issue. I also, took the opportunity to view CCTV at some of the stores we visited to identify some of the shoplifters at some of the most targeted stores on North End Road. Overall, the Black Friday patrols were a success in deterring shoplifters from breaking into shops to steal.
